In 2009 my friend Marta called me to ask if I would like to go instead of her on workshop on creating small mascot animals using felt. This way absolutely accidentally I discovered this brilliant technique of using fleece. When I made my first small craft – a flying pig- I knew that it will become my passion and somehow a way of life.

Felt is the most incredible material that I have ever worked with. It gives unlimited possibilities of creation. Using felt one can make extremely different objects from brooches, key holders, gadgets, hats, clothes to houses! Furthermore, felting doesn’t require any complicated equipment- you need only wool, table, hot water and soap or, in case of working with a dry technique, a piece of sponge and particular needle that you can buy in bigger cities of your country or on the Internet.

Since I have discovered potential of felt, I made a lot of different pieces: starting with jewellery, bags, pictures and toys, finishing on theatre props like for example hand puppets, masks, a two- meter- long hand, or 1,2 m high puppet- Osvaldo who is now the star of my felt puppet show called Kukuryku or "Plak"- one of protagonists of Myrmekodia show. Some of these objects are the result of my own experiments, and yet the majority I made thanks to techniques that I was taught by my felt master - Danila Schön.
