Felt workshop for Boredom Busters
5-6, 9-10 May 2011 I made felt workshops for teenagers from district Łazarz in Poznań, Poland within a project :”Boredom Busters” organized by association CIM Horyzonty (www.cim-horyzonty.org/). Busters ( that’s how we call participants) could learn how to create different objects with felt, using two techniques: "wet technique " and "dry technique ". In the first part of meeting they created simple forms such as balls, dreadlocks, flat cakes, with which then they made earrings, necklaces or key gadgets. In the second part of the workshop, using “dry technique”, participants could choose what they want to do. Their imagination didn’t know any borders. At the end of the course the room was full of alien pigs, punky dinosaurs, dogs and wolves, blue sports mice, artificial eyes and carrots, football fan flags and even plush cigarettes ... Above you can see at least some of those magnificent buster’s works.
